Doctorney Leticia Syson
Atty. Patricia Ramos-Syson, MD (2nd from left) is seen here with fellow judges (from L-R) Daphne Oseña Paez, Lilian Ng Gui and Patricia Ann Roque during the 2019 Little Miss Philippines Grand Finals last July 20.
Two of the toughest careers anyone can aspire to is that of a doctor and a lawyer. The long hours of study and memorization, the grueling coursework, and the difficult exams for the professional license make becoming a doctor or lawyer a very difficult task for many.
Patricia Leticia Ramos-Syson, one of the judges of Little Miss Philippines 2019 and herself a contestant of the 1990 edition of the pageant, is both a doctor and a lawyer.
Dubbed as “doctorney” by her Dabarkads during the 2019 LMP Grand Finals last July 20, Patricia recalled how she would look forward to watching Eat Bulaga when she came home from school or while their family was eating lunch.

She joined the 1990 LMP out of a desire to see Tito, Vic, and Joey and Jimmy Santos. Doctorney Patricia recalls how she learned and experienced a lot during her time as a contestant and Grand Finalist. Her favorite was the Question and Answer portion, where Tito Sen asked young Patricia what she wanted to be when she grew up. Her reply was to be a doctor.

Doctorney Patricia graduated from the University of Sto. Tomas School of Medicine in 2009 and passed the Medical Board Exams in 2011. She finished her Juris Doctor from the Ateneo Law School in 2015 and passed the Bar Exams of the same year. She currently works in a law firm and does her rounds as a doctor during the weekends. She also teaches Legal Medicine at the UST Medicine and Surgery and the Chinese General Hospital School of Medicine. She is married to an Orthopedic Surgeon and has two kids.
“Hindi man ako nanalo, mas mahalaga na bata pa lang ako nabuo na confidence ko dahil sa pagsali ko sa LMP”, Doctorney Patricia said.
“Talagang nakatulong rin ang aking pagsali para patuloy at lalo akong magsikap para maabot ko ang pangarap ko na maging doktor at abogado”, she added.

Doctorney Patricia thanked the Dabarkads for continuing to bring joy to everyone, for always inspiring others, and for giving people a chance to reach their dreams. She said that she would be happy to inspire at least one person with her life story, especially the kids who watch Eat Bulaga.
